I know, I know.  I’m always going on about reviews we get for The Art of Blowjob.  I really don’t mean to seem conceited, but lovely people keep writing me wonderful reviews and I need to pay it forward and share it with you guys.  They’re just too sweet and delightful to pass up.  I have three to share today, so I’ll get right to it.

The first one is from All HD Review, who gave me a rating of 9.4/10 for the site and had some truly wonderful things to say:

The Art of Blowjob is, without a doubt, one of the best oral sex sites on the net. The content, a strange marriage of hardcore oral sex porn and artsy erotic, is ultra-high quality and utterly hot. They don’t have the largest content count in town, but what they lack in quantity they most assuredly make up for in quality. With frequent updates, super high-res photographs, and a reasonable price of admission, I don’t see how you can pass this one up. A genuine must have for oral sex connoisseurs and aficionados.

 

I love that more and more, people are seeing that it isn’t all about quantity, but quality plays a role too!  Finally, I had a great write-up on Sex Interrupted, the site that interviewed Sophie a few months back.  Here’s a bit of what they had to say:

I did a great interview with Extra Lunch Money on making a living as an independent porn site producer, and I think it sheds some great light on things, so I wanted to share a little bit with you:

In general for the websites you have made what makes your websites different than other adult websites?

They’re different for a few reasons. First, since we’re small, we do it all. We’re equally involved in the creative, technical, promotional and personal sides. Second, we really care about making the porn more aesthetically pleasing. And third, we’re a real couple in love. We’re not fake looking or fake acting. It’s beautiful porn, but it’s not an impossible fantasy. Anyone can have this level of sensual exploration.

Why did you decide to launch other websites? Why not have one large site with all kinds of content rather than having several websites with less content?

Finding people who love erotic photography, blowjobs and feet all together is very different than finding people who like one of the three. It’s just easier to market that way.

What’s an average work day like for you? Do you work normal hours? What do you do in the course of a regular work day?

I do a little bit of everything. Constant e-mailling, social media, posting blogs, doing some editing, fixing some code, putting up an update, checking forums/tubes, maybe doing an interview… I try to take most of the weekend off, but I’m online from dawn until dusk at least 5-6 days a week.

We’ve also gotten two great reviews recently, from Rog Reviews and Review Porn.  Rog Reviews gave us a whopping 90% and had this to say:

Another amazing review of The Art of Blowjob…  So soon?  Well, yes.  What can I say?  We’ve been striking while the iron’s hot to get lots of review sites to take note of what we’re up to these days.  This wonderful new review from All Porn Models is no exception, and their wonderful writing style, thorough understanding of this type of website and 90% overall score has made it one of my favourites so far!

Their summary of the site pretty much blows me away and makes me blush all at once:

All in all, this is a bang up review and it has made me feel pretty spectacular about the way industry people who review these sites for a living view the kind of work we do.  It really makes a difference when amount of updates, amount of women or amount of bonuses factor in, but aren’t seen as the be all and end all of what makes a website worthwhile.  Call me excessively optimistic, but I think I’ve even seen reviewer outlooks change over the past few years and it really means very good things for inventive new sites like ours.

Another week, another review for The Art of Blowjob…  Or that’s how it feels sometimes, anyways!  The good people over at Porntips were kind enough to take a look at the site and award us with a score of 84.7 for our efforts!  It’s definitely a slightly different tone than I’m used to sometimes, but that’s the audience they’re targeting and they still did a good job of making it clear that our site is a whole other ballgame than when people tend to expect from a blowjob site.

The site is dedicated to portraying the blowjob as an art. The respectable artist is named Camille Crimson, and it appears that she views oral sex as more of a creation of ones abilities rather than a sleazy raw sexual act.

 

I must say, I always appreciate being called an artist.  After all, we didn’t decide to call it The Art of Blowjob just for fun.  The artistry is a huge facet of the site, along with the connection and the beautiful aesthetics.

It’s great to get reviews like this, because we get to reach out to a very diverse audience of people who like porn and like quality, but want to find out about new and different kinds of porn.  For many of these people, they may never have really been exposed to beautiful porn…  They may not even know to look for it, so it’s wonderful when people take the time to really make it clear in their reviews that a site is worth it:

Well, it’s that time again!  I got another stellar review from a really great website – Tyler’s Porn Reviews.  I’m excited because I’m actually one of their top 10 reviewed sites of all time and the third blowjob site, which makes me feel pretty good!  Who knows?  Maybe the re-review next year will bump us right to the top!

I love their feelings about the music and their very valid suggestion that couples watch it together

Amidst all the excitement, I forgot to blog about a blog about my blog.  That’s quite a mouthful.  (And I should know!)

A few days ago, the lovely Olive Day of ZZInsider posted a continuation of her top 10 pornstar bloggers list that she had compiled three months back when she was fairly new to the industry.  The first list included a few familiar faces to me and a number of porn performers I was less familiar with.  The new one is also a pretty good cross section of porn performers, including one I know quite well…

Myself!  That’s right.  The lovely folks at ZZInsider saw it fit to include me as one of their favourite pornstar bloggers.  I am very flattered and happy about the recognition because I do spend a lot of time on this blog, making sure to respond to every comment, to find a good balance between site previews, promotion and personal/opinion-based posts.  Sometimes I second guess myself a bit, so it’s always very nice to get a nod from a site which clearly has its eye on a lot of porn performers.
