This week’s update is definitely something different, and it’s something that people have been asking for for quite some time now.  While we’ve filmed some 69 before, mostly simulated/teasing, but a little of the real stuff too, we’ve never shown it up close in personal.  Well, that’s what we’ve done in todays video update, albeit in our own subtle way.

It’s hard for Mike to show his face…  He’s a little camera shy.  I think he’s gorgeous and I love seeing his genuine passion about my pleasure.  It’s something I get all the time (and I mean all the time) behind the scenes, but due to our focus on blowjobs, it’s not something that you have been able to see much.  I’m happy we get to share it with you in this video.  He’s very, very good.

I’m doing a little crowd-sourcing today, and I really wanted to hear what you think of the way we use lighting in our photo-sets and videos.  I know that there have been a lot of different looks that we’ve played around over the years, and I’d love to hear which ones are your favourites, if there are ones that don’t grab you as much…  And really, I’d just love to know what it is about a photo or video that grabs you.

Specifically, I’m talking about the bright, light look that we’ve been playing around with lately vs. something more dark and sultry and mysterious, or maybe even something a bit more in the middle, kind of like a girl next door.  I’m going to keep cycling through all these options, but I’d love to hear the ones that really stand out for you. I want to be able to figure out how to make more of what you love and then will use it to make more photos and videos in that way.

So, I’d really appreciate any feedback you could give me!  You never lead me astray and I will try to do the same!  ;)

I love being cozy.  I talk about it a lot.  But really, it’s important to me.  I like comfortable furniture, soft linens, big duvets…  Something to cuddle up in and stay inside, playing around on a beautiful day with nothing planned.  That’s exactly what this update is about, or, at least it’s about the moments just before the playing around starts…

These photos are really intimate.  Sometimes our portraits are done with the implicit knowledge that the camera is between us, and sometimes that’s not so much the case.  Here, we played into it, showing the lust between us as we struggled to get through shooting the portraits before collapsing into each other.  That is such an amazingly erotic feeling, so I’m glad we get to capture it, at least from his perspective.

I hope you enjoy this portrait shoot, because it’s extremely representative of who we are and what our life is like.  It’s comfortable, simple and pretty much always infused with a healthy dose of lust.  Isn’t that what life is all about?

This week’s update is pretty stunning if I do say so myself.  The shot is so tight and perfect, focusing on exactly what matters…  My face, my hair, my breasts and his cock.  It’s all pretty gorgeous, bathed in a soft white light.  We’ve been experimenting more and more with this type of look and we’ve had extremely good feedback so far.  It really looks like spring, if that makes any kind of sense.

Camille Crimson and her partner Mike Flirt have a whole series of videos dedicated to The Art of the Blowjob and she writes, “From an industry standpoint, although blowjobs are really popular, they’re either treated as a boring prelude to sex or they’re really rough and there’s very little skill involved. We wanted to show that a blowjob can be beautiful and something exciting for both men and women, so it felt like a calling.”

 

She goes on to speak in praise of the blowjob and the many people who laud it as extremely important.  But more than that, she addresses the fact that sex and pleasure aren’t trends…  They’re important things in life and it’s very all about making your desires known.  Passion and giving sexuality will never go out of style.

Legitimate journalists care about porn!  Or, at least that’s what the Toronto Standard would have me believe!  I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Elizabeth Hames all about my experience as a somewhat unlikely pornographer.  As usual, I’ll share a few of the questions here, just to give you a taste:

What is it like to be an entrepreneur in today’s adult entertainment industry?

It’s an interesting climate. There used to be a lot more small sites. Now it seems like there are just huge companies buying everything else up and a few of us left who are doing something different. As a result, you do have to work hard to get noticed next to all the big guys, but if you do something different, you can get a lot of attention and respect for it. It forces you to keep innovating and pushing yourself to make something creative, beautiful and in tune with what people want. Balancing that with your own values and limitations can be a challenge, but a very rewarding one if you can get it.

I’ve spoken with other performers who keep their own website. They say the Internet gives them an independence and control over their image that wasn’t afforded to performers in the past. Would you agree?

My shooting schedule is based on when I’m actually in the mood to shoot, so it’s much more authentic in that respect. Especially when dealing with something as personal as sex, it’s great to be able to engage with it on my own terms.

How do you get people to pay for your product when so much adult content is available for free online?

I think it’s about creating something that’s aesthetically beautiful but still real. We focus a lot of the filmmaking and the quality of the photography to make something that feels worth the money, but fundamentally it’s about the personality, the genuine love and the joy of sexuality.
