Gram Ponante is a big deal porn journalist. He was a huge influence in the development of Fleshbot, he’s been a high-up editor at both XBIZ and AVN and he writes for pretty much everyone. Plus, he’s sort of a ginger, based on the photos I’ve seen… Gingerish? Let’s go with that.
He wrote this amazing review of our DVD after Sophie sent him one a little while back and I could not be more thrilled. The title alone makes it: “Fellaters Gotta Fellate: The Art of Blowjob is a Tough Act to Swallow”… Really, it says it all right there. (And the joke, in case you missed it, is based on “tough act to follow” and not “tough pill to swallow” which is definitely the better option!)
I just wanted to share a brief little snippet of his lovely words, all of which made me smile and laugh and feel very very lucky:
Crimson and her boyfriend, Mike Flirt, are the directors and stars of this loving, playful, and watchable movie that is all about comfort, taking one’s time, and being at one’s ease. In what appears to be a sunlit, lived-in apartment, Crimson and Flirt run through several interludes that do nothing if not emphasize their easy chemistry. Or maybe he’s a Quebecois separatist and she’s a wide-eyed transplant from McGill and they can only connect over blowjobs. Whichever it is, it’s good.
We’re both French Canadians quite happy to be a part of the country, but the point is well-taken and I think he pretty much effortlessly captured the essence of what we’re doing. The entire review is hilarious, insightful and extremely positive, so I hope you’ll read it and let me know what you think… Particularly of his super-imposed film noir dialogue. It made me giggle.
