This is certainly not the first time I’ve brought up issues of feminism and blowjobs, but it’s the first time I’ve done it in such a drawn-out and clear way. One of the posts running today on Fleshbot for their Camille Crimson week is called The Feminism of Giving Blowjobs, and it’s part rant, part declamation about how I reconcile giving blowjobs in such a prominent way and being a strong woman. I wanted to share a few snippets here to get the conversation going.
For various valid reasons, there is a real upswing in the value of female pleasure. I could not possibly applaud this development more, but it does have the adverse effect of stigmatizing porn focused on male pleasure in certain circles…
Part of being in the blowjob niche means that there are a lot of blowjobs. Sounds pretty evident, but people consistently indicate how badly they want to see me experience pleasure on screen. While I totally understand this, and do comply from time to time, I most prefer it when it comes from a place of desire to see more, not desire to see me “actually fulfilled” in our content…
If the shoe were on the other foot and I was a man talking about giving pleasure to a woman, you’d all be mightily pleased (though less overtly in such sex-positive circles) and this would not be an issue of my needs not being met. I do not need physical stimulation to enjoy a sexual experience, and if I did, I would certainly make that happen…
These are three disparate sections that stick out as important to me, but I’d love to hear what you think about them, especially if you’ve deigned to read the piece in its entirety. There are a lot of double standards and assumptions when it comes to porn, and I love having an opportunity to undo some of that and share my real first-hand experience to clear the air. I’d love to hear what you have to say.

Camille,
You become absolutely radiant “in the act,” which is no small feat considering your incredible natural beauty. Your own pleasure is wonderfully evident on every occasion, so I would hope any critics are only expressing their insatiable desire to see more of your amazing body.
Love you,
Ashton
Thanks for putting it that way, Ashton! I appreciate it.
“Radiant.” That is precisely the right word to describe Camille in the moment. Why did that elude me until now?
Anyway, thanks Art!
To quote Mark Twain:
“The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.”
That quotation is amazing, and I will never oppose being called radiant.
Camille, Besides being very beautiful and sexy, you are extremely open and honest. I detest hypocrisy, no matter what form it takes; there is nothing hypocritical about your views or your site. As always, I look forward to seeing more of you as well as reading your thoughts. Take care!
Thanks a lot, Bob. I really just try to be myself and articulate my opinions and experiences as clearly as I can. I’m glad that it comes across that way.
You became my sun.
A big kiss from Taranto (Italy)
Michele
What a lovely thing to say, Michele. Thank you.
Feminism is not about confining women in a role or into a stereotype or mould for every one of them, but rather a movement to allow them to live what THEY ARE and what THEY WANT TO BE.
However, porn has such a bad press because too many women are not really doing it for themselves and are exploited by other people. Which is why it is so often being seen as a degrading image of the women. And in some cases it is indeed.
Having said that, I feel a wind of change on that front as more and more women express themselves on their own in that industry as well. Cause it is an industry like any other one with consumers and providers … and lots of money lol !
However, I always have a hard time (no double meaning here .. well maybe … I’ll let you decide !) considering The Art of BlowJob and even Camille as being porn. The word has such a negative feel to it. I know it is cause it is somewhat explicit and not suggested. Yet, it is done in the most natural way, in the way that everyone can, could and should live it. The couple next door
So for me Camille is personalising one aspect of the feminism movement in the sense that women are also allowed to express their sexuality, they are allowed to live it and enjoy it. And that they can indeed get something out of giving to their loved one. And that’s another point with Camille and The Art Of Blowjob, they are not promoting free sex with anyone anytime anywhere in a fantasmic dreaming irreality. No they ARE a couple through to themselves and to each other.
So yes, any sexual act, free of external pressure and direction is an act of ‘humanity’ for women AND men. Cause, lets face it, more and more pressure is also applied to men to performs to level often not attainable. Women starts to have expectations just as men had and still have. That is the down side of the increase of porn accessibility: expectations. But also, it serves, with sites like Camille’s, to show it is possible to live it true to one self, without Olympic performance. LOL !!!
Camille shows a strong head and exactly knows where she wants to be. Without being too extreme like some other performers are in part of their life until they realize they got lost somewhere on that road. True to one self. But one’s desire may change in time and experience. True to thy self.
May be one day, your perception of what you are doing at THIS time wont be as easy or confortable. Maybe. Who knows. But for the time being you are being a WOMAN who knows who SHE is, what SHE likes and wants. You’re defining your own industry or niche.
I bow to the truth of fire
I gently blow the candle
I am greatly amazed by.
I wish for the love ocean
Eye star starring at me so
I lose the warm wave
I kept from myself.
Wow, well, I don’t know what to say except thank you. I hope that there are more and more representations of more authentic sex out there, as you do! Strength in numbers!
Lets start counting then
I think the people here are a very good place to begin!
