Thanks for these responses, Camille! It wasn’t really either. She doesn’t want to enter the picture, and that’s not the relationship we have with her anyways. It wasn’t weird for her either, since we don’t have a typical boss-employee relationship either. We interact primarily as collaborators trying to change the face of porn. It’s a very creative and idealistic way of approaching it, and she just kept saying that she was thrilled to be involved in the actual making of the content and not just on the business side of things. Even though she’s our PR/marketing person, she has a lot of creative projects in her non-work life and this side of the industry appeals to her just as much. It all sounds kind of crazy, but it’s just a way to get better shots and use our time more effectively with someone we trust to do a good job, stay professional but not be cold. We didn’t hold back at all, because that’s not who we are and we felt really comfortable. It was basically like any other shoot, just with a second camera that could move around.
