We Won!

We did it! We won! We are the recipients of one of four awards for best website (or honoured website) at the Feminist Porn Awards. I found out on Friday night, but I had been away visiting family and didn’t have time to blog about it. But now here I am and I’m so excited to share the news with you. This is a really huge deal! It’s an award that even comes with a trophy, after all. Once I get a chance to meet up with Sophie, we’ll do the switch and I’ll be able to take pictures with it! (Speaking of which, that’s her up there accepting the award in the grainy little iPod Touch photo.)
She’s going to be back tomorrow to talk a little more about the two other events, but I wanted to take today just to express my gratitude to everyone for their amazing support through everything that has been happening for the site. This is yet another big milestone, but there’s still so much ground to cover. Every day here is a new, wonderful chance to make a mark and change the industry. From looking at the three other website which won in the best website category (Padded Kink, Queer Porn TV and Heavenly Spire) it’s clear that porn is so much more broad than it used to be and there really is room for everything, as long as it’s presented in a way that respects the performers and the audience.
