I can’t say that I get too much fan art, but I wanted to share a really great piece I received recently. The artist wishes to remain anonymous, but I couldn’t resist the urge to show it off because I think it’s so cool. I would have never thought to photoshop myself in the style of Avatar, so it’s really interesting to see. What do you all think? Have you ever had fantasies of seeing something like this? I know there’s an Avatar porn film, so they’re obviously not the only ones who came across the idea.
On that note, do any of you do any sort of artistic things? Have you ever made fan art? I consider it a lovely compliment and I’m always tickled when someone thinks of me as being part of their creative process. It’s very flattering. So, if you had ever thought about putting the pencil to the paper, or the cursor to the screen as the case may be, I’d love to see what you come up with!

I’m not artistic, but can clean up a photo of the grand kids taken by Disneyland by removing an image of a heavy lady in the frame who is bending over.
I also know there are morphing programs available that are used to increase the bust of aspiring starlets (and others)in photos.
Those sound like some pretty fun programs.

It contains much of the same mainstream porn mentality you talk about, even though it is animated. Male dominated, street racing/thug-like. On the flip side though are things like this:

Even though it also is animated there certainly is quite a bit of thought and production value here. Just imagine where the quality level will be in 5 or 10 years.

The colorization, shading and texture is nicely done from a technical aspect. But, I prefer the as-is version, just my personal preference.
I’m very impressed indeed. It’s always nice as a change of pace.
