Sexiest Geek?
13 Dec
Hey everyone!
So, the incomparable Violet Blue is holding nominations for the top 10 sexiest geeks. I’m a sexy geek, aren’t I? Well, I didn’t want to be a loser and nominate myself (I’m a geek after all, not a loser) and I wanted to see if any of you would consider nominating me. I’ve been looking through her who NOT to nominate and I think I’m in the clear:
* Celebrities, especially Hollywood ones and empty Twitterati.
* “Hot” chicks who do tech PR – and that is all they do. Write a line of code? Okay. Write a press release? Nope.
* Babes who pose in bikinis with video game themed accessories (sorry Girls of Nerdcore — though I do love my geek-flavored cheesecake).
* Models and actors who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.
* Anyone I have had sex with. Sorry! (Okay, I was only sorry once. But it was *after* I made the list, okay?!)
* Babes, sex workers, “studs” or porn performers with “geek” and “nerd” plastered all over their paysites, with nothing to back it up.
* People who are cute, but no one seems to know why they have geek cred.
Since I’m a coder, a web designer, a photo/video editing geek, a Sci-Fi/zombie aficionado, a gamer and a Mac evangelist, I think I’m more than just a surface geek… I’m geek to the core. And even though I’ve been talking about it a lot recently, it’s just because my geekhood has been on my mind.
So, if you’d like to nominate me, just post in the comments section and earn my geek love.

Definitely voting for Camille as a sexy geek! What are we waiting for?

Hi Camille,
So I’m a new fan and I’ve actually never posted on your blog. I sent you an e-mail, but then I thought your blog might be better to send you a message since I don’t do face book or twitter.
First I just have to say that you’re very beautiful and amazing at what you do. You certainly should be nominated for the sexiest geek. I saw one of your video’s and thought it was so sensual and sexy. You had me mesmerized. I saw another video and then I checked out your site, The Art of Blow Job. I don’t ever join sites or pay to join sites, but I really wanted to watch your Shy video and see the site so I joined. I was so excited to watch all your video’s and read your little bits about them. I love so many of them it would take all my space to list them.
I’m debating on what to do when my membership is up because I just love to watch your video’s, but I checked out YouPorn when I saw someone said your video’s were on there. I was so disappointed to see almost ALL your video’s were there. I’m sure some are out there to promote your site, but it was a bummer to see so many of them. I got to thinking that I’d just paid to join your site thinking I’d get special viewing of your video’s not out there, but now that seems not to be the case. So my question to you is, is there something that I missed when joining your site?
It would be great if you had things on your site that only members got to view and couldn’t be put on free sites. Then someone like myself who loves to watch you and paid to see your amazing work would be more willing to keep paying for a membership. You seem like a really sweet genuine person. I love your video’s, think that it’s so special between you and Mike in them, and can’t wait to see your next one. I just don’t know where I’ll be seeing it.
Thanks for your time and sorry if this was off your topic and it was so long.
A new fan!

Hi JJ –
I’m glad you’re a fan and I’m glad you found me here. Thanks a lot for the great compliments.
I really hope you decide to stay on the site. There are less than 1/5 of the videos on tubes and none of the over 80 photo galleries. The videos are also not all full videos and they’re not in the same resolution and quality as they are on my site. Unfortunately, this is the way the climate of porn is going right now, so I can either fight it and have people steal my videos and put them up for free or I can put them up myself and get some exposure. It’s perfectly easy for big porn sites to put up videos all the time and still have tons to spare, but it’s harder for smaller sites like mine.
If you want to see me get paid for my work, the best thing you can do is pay for it.
Hopefully that’s what you choose.
Kiss,
Camille

Looks like you’ve been nominated AT LEAST 3 times, so far.
I think you’ll be in the running.

Aw, you’re so sweet!

nominate you! you are the definition of the “sexy geek”. And since “you porn” no longer has vivthomas vids, you are the only decent thing there. Your site is much better than what is available for “free”. And you should get paid, so you can keep producing those wonderful videos.

Aw, I’m so glad you like what I’m doing. I’m glad I can fill the void.

Have you seen the show “Beauty & The Geek”??
You could enter as BOTH and win the thing on your own!
My vote has been cast as well.
Good luck

I haven’t, but that’s a good name for a show.

I hope I’m not too late to this. Dropped my vote in. I have to confess that geeks are very sexy, but, I think we’ve already established this fact.
I personally could never get the hang of programming; I took C++, but, I just couldn’t wrap my brain around it. It’s probably one of those things about how your brain is set up. I’m terrible with math but pretty good with logic. Ah well, but I’m definitely a gamer geek. What games have you been playing? Looking forward to any? Seems like the season of lots of releases is dying down, but, there’s still some good stuff to look forward to.

Thanks so much, TheAdmiral.
And coding is definitely not for everyone. Ot takes a specific person. Lately I’ve not been playing too much, but I’m waiting on Army of Two: The 40th day.

Ah, well, my advice would be to try something different. I rented 40th Day, and it was pretty disappointing. Worse than the original, and the binary choice system is pretty arbitrary. Not to mention, and if you’re going to play it anyways I should warn you, the ending is absolutely terrible. But, hey, maybe you’ll enjoy it, that’s just my 2 cents and a potential friendly warning.

Aw, but I want it so badly.
Maybe we just have different tastes?

I guess that could be the case. Ah well, I’d like to hear what you think of it. It’s pretty short though, so, I’d say it’s better to rent than to buy. Also, try to play with someone if you can; the AI is about as smart as a brick of lead.

All very good info, TheAdmiral. Thanks!
Done.
Question for you: I am teaching myself Dreamweaver. I have seen some commentary about a person not being a “real” web designer unless they can write code. I tried Notepad ++ and struggled. I was just wondering if you agree with that statement? It seems like a waste of time to write code when you can use something like Dreamweaver that will allow you to create your vision in design form and see what you’re going after as you create it.
So – Camille – would someone who became proficient at Dreamweaver and could create sites via that methodology be any less in your eyes than someone who can write code? Seems the end results are still the same?

Well, “real” is pretty subjective. I wouldn’t consider someone less than someone else who knew a bit of code if their skills in Dreamweaver were stellar. That said, coding is fun and it’s worth looking into learning some for sure!
