100 Ways to Live a Better Life

Hi everyone -

Stunning Camille Crimson enjoys the sunlight

I was perusing online a bit and I came across a really interesting site I thought I’d share.  As some of you know, I enjoy reading blogs about personal development, like how to live more with less, which is actually part of what inspired me to take off to La Réunion.  We all want to be happy and feel like our lives are fulfilling and have meaning.  I think that The Art of Blowjob is a big part of that for me, because it’s so satisfying to run your own company and feel like what you do is something different and special.

The site I found is run by a man named Dragos Roua and he seems to have a very interesting take on life.  One thing that he does a fair amount on his site is to make long lists that will help him achieve particular goals.  The one list that stuck out the most to me is called 100 Ways to Live a Better Life, because that’s what we all want.  I don’t know whether I agree with everything he says, and some of his points are obvious, but it’s so wonderful to see that there are so many ways to be happier, more productive, more at peace and more connected to yourself and others.

I think that looking in this list, I do a lot of this already and even just seeing that made me feel better.  Some of the ones that stick out to me as things I could really benefit from are:

21. Be Better, Not Perfect

Striving too much for perfection will ruin your life. It will wipe out all those little imperfections which are making you… human. Being better, on the other side, is rewarding. Look back at the yesterday you and just say: I’m better!

36. Exercise

You don’t have to break the world record, or something. Just make sure you exercise constantly. It will make your body healthier and your mind clearer. It’s also one of the simplest and most affordable ways to improve your life.  (I’m working on this, it just needs to become a habit.)

88. Live It Like A Holiday

Ever observed how nice you feel during your holiday? How light, joyful and authentic? Everything is just wonderful. Well, you are on a continuous holiday here. It starts with your birth and end with your death. Live it like a holiday.

I think the 100 things list could work really well for what I do to figure out the things I can do for my business.  This is such a great way to get inspired and start thinking outside the box.  So, read the list and tell me some of the things you think could work. Or what do you do to live a better life?

    Hey Camille

And thanks for the shout. I’m glad you enjoyed the list to the point you actually quoted it on your blog. Lists are good in blogging because they’re easier to “consume” and “spread”. The mere mention of my list on your blog is quite an obvious proof. But as a matter of fact, lists are accounting for less than 2-3% of my articles.

On a side note, I think I should add a “101″ entry to that list, which will say something like this: “Whatever you do, do it every day, with determination, passion and humility. And, who knows, someday you may be quoted by a gorgeous, red headed, smart porn model who seems to be coming straight from your deepest, most secret sexual fantasies.”. Oh, or maybe not. Nobody would believe something like this, dontcha think? ;-)

I have a glimpse of your through this bog that leads me to believe you and Mike are achieving a good life without conspicuous consumption. The lunch time walk in the park, or the shopping with friends for feminine gear. You might even be a fan of chick flicks.

I do believe self employment has its good and bad sides. It requires responsibilities, dedication, and hard work.

    Enough…….

With 100 things to choose from it is easy to find a few you do, a few you like and plenty that convict you that you can do better.

2 Things I like that I didn’t see celarly listed are:

    1. Enjoy what you do

    2. Be content. In what you ahve in where you are in your friends, etc.

In some ways a lot of the items in the list fall under “be content”, so maybe it is redundant, but if you think about it, most negativity comes from failed expectations, and failed expectations come from a lack of contentment.

Number 1 might seem like a subset of number 2, but it’s really meant to say that if youa re going to ahe to do something either find a way to make it enjoyable or find a differnt thing to do instead to meet the same goal/need.

As far as applying to your business, you already seem to enjoy what you are doing and that makes your material better by far than anything else out there. It is real, it is personal, and it is convicing. It does not come off as forced or phony.

But, if you wanted to have fun with the 100 list, you could do any number of “themes” such as

Make your own rules. Try to come up with the most unorthodox way to do a blow job.

Write a thank you letter. What if your wrote a thnk you letter to the man you gave a blow job to. What would you say? have the letter interwoven in the memory/playblack of the blow job.

Learn a new language. Or at least talk dirty in a few as a lead in.

There are other more obvious choicse such as:
    Try something new
    Clean up your house
    Build different skills
    Exercise
    Play a game
Get a ting you wanted for a long time
Change your wardrobe (starting with what you have on, and mkae sure your partner does the same)
    Spend some time alone
    Get rid of labels
    etc.

Thanks to Google Translate, Hernan said that this is a great piece of advice:

The most important thing to live better is to surround yourself with good people who have a real empathy with those who we see daily.

      I completely agree.
