I Did It :)

It’s been a while since I’ve been that excited to buy something for myself. Yeah, it’s nice to get pretty dresses and jewels but it’s not something you really can play with.

So we went to the mall, Mike and I and we passed in front of a camera shop. By curiosity and say : “Let’s go check if they have the Lumix FS3 that I want”. They did and with a 30$ discount too! It was a sign… No really just an opportunity I couldn’t miss.

I took a few pictures with it but I really need to practice and learn how to use my new toy! Of course, I will not make pictures as pretty as the one Mike can take but that’s not my main goal. So what’s the big deal? I just wanted to record parts of my life, share with you, and learn in the process.

Here’s something I took at Omer de Serre:
To make a neckless

And a test at low light and trying to get a shallow DOF:
Test with water

The subject may not be interesting yet but I’ll get better haha

So I’ll be able to take those pictures I mention in the Lumix DMC-FS3 and Bubble Bath post 😉

Lumix DMC-FS3 and Bubble Bath

Panasonic Lumix dmc-fs3a

It’s saturday morning and Mike is now gone to a photographers meeting. What to do? I have not even taken a shower yet but I am thinking about a nice warm bath with bubbles and oils.

I say this because I’m thinking about buying a point and shoot camera for myself. I want the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 because it has an aperture range of 2.8 / F8.0 and can record video with a 16:9 aspect ratio -and because I’m a snob and want a cam with a Leica lens. I think it could be great for me to bring it everywhere and for example show you what I do in my bath :)

The reasoning behind the 200$ point and shoot cam is that I’m a little clumsy and Mike would tear my head apart if something would happen to his D90…

Most Appreciated V Day of My Life

Mike arrived at 2 or 3 o’clock this morning from an evening spend with his friend making more noise then usual, turned on the light in our bedroom in a hurry, looking like a ghost and said: “I spend my evening at the police station”… I though, «but what did you do?»

And then I just saw him put his arm through his neck with his eyes wide open, then followed by an almost intelligible: “I was attack… from behind. He put his arm like that and dragged me down to my knees and told me ‘I will kill you, I will kill you, give me your money’ and the other guy stole my iPod and my wallet”.

He’s alive. And I love him. It’s the most beautiful Valentine’s day of my life.
